Visa to Brazil. New Brazilian Visa requirements.

The following documents (Brazilian Visa requirements) must be submitted in order to obtain Brazil Visa regardless of its category:

​

• PASSPORT - Valid passport for at least 6 months beyond stay, and with at least 2 blank visa pages. Passport not signed by the holder WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED by Brazilian Consulate. 

• DRIVER'S LICENSE (copy) or utility bill, showing the applicants name and current address.

• ONLINE APPLICATION- US CITIZENS must complete and sign New Electronic Brazilian Visa applications for US citizen (click here). 

  All questions in the Brazilian Visa application form must be answered. Failure to complete all required fields in the form may delay the processing of your Brazil Visa. Print it and sign

• ITINERARY. A photocopy of round trip tickets or a letter signed by a travel agent with confirmed round trip tickets. Itinerary is not acceptable unless showing ticket numbers and that the ticket is paid for. If enter Brazil by cruise, please submit official daily port itinerary from the cruise line listing the applicant as a passenger and showing the port location for each day of the cruise.

• LETTER addressed to the "Consulate of Brazil, Visa Section" explaining exactly how, when, and where you will be entering and leaving Brazil.

• BANK STATEMENT (copy) of your most recent monthly bank statement.

• PHOTO - 2 (two) recent pictures (passport size). Digital, non-passport style & home made photos are not acceptable. 

• PAYMENT - Check or money order in the amount specified below, depending on processing time plus shipping expenses ( $20.00 priority service or $ 50.00 overnight service)

In accordance with the International Law, the Brazilian Consulate reserves the right to consider Brazilian Visa applications in certain cases as long as it feels necessary. Brazilian Consulate may request additional detailed information about your journey to Brazil.

Brazilian Visa can be denied if the Brazilian Consulate has serious reasons to believe that an applicant's entry into or stay in Brazil will not be desirable. In this case all Brazilian Visa fees are non-refundable. Brazilian Consulate reserves the right to call the applicants for an interview and ask questions on personal, financial, business and corporate related issues as well as on applicants's Brazil contacts and relatives.
